How Steel Braided Hose Is Made?

As to 304 metal hose braiding, steel belt is braided by using a plurality of steel belts of a certain width along the corrugated bus bar at an angle, and installed crosswise on the outer surface of the corrugated pipe. Therefore, when weaving the steel belt mesh, the theoretical width will depend on the outer diameter of the bellows, the braiding angle and the number of steel belt spindles. However, in actual work applications, if weave the mesh sleeve according to the parameters determined by the theoretical formula, then the result will be that the bellows are completely shielded. The tight mesh cover forms a rigid cylinder, which is tightly fitted on the outer surface of the metal hose, making the hose unable to function.

In order to make the metal hose of the steel belt braided mesh sleeve also has the characteristics of the steel wire braided mesh sleeve metal hose, the actual width of the steel belt must be smaller than the theoretical width in the operation, that is, the ratio of the mesh sleeve to the bellows coverage is less than 1. Only in this way can the elasticity and flexibility of the bellows be reflected. The smaller this ratio is, the more fully it will be reflected. If the outer diameter of the stainless steel metal hose has been determined, the number of steel belt ingots, the braiding angle, the actual width of the steel belt, and the ratio of the mesh cover to the bellows coverage are four variables that can be adjusted to each other. When selecting the braid parameters of the steel belt net sleeve, the specific situation should be considered.

The number of steel strip ingots is generally an even number ≥ 4, as long as it is within this range for hand weaving. But for mechanical weaving, it's not that simple. The number of spindles of the domestically-made braiding machine is fixed and is not adjustable. Therefore, the number of ingots of the steel belt is preferably determined according to the number of ingots of the existing braiding machine. At present, there are 24 spindles, 36 spindles, and 48 spindles in the domestic braiding machine, and 64 spindles have been introduced. But they are specially used for weaving steel wire mesh sleeves. The weaving is a "double flower" pattern, and the steel belt weaving is preferably a single flower pattern. This kind of braiding machine can be used to braid the steel belt mesh cover with a little modification.

As mentioned above, the actual width of the steel belt must be smaller than the theoretical width. The specific value depends on the ratio of the mesh cover to the hose coverage.
